They DO have science and social studies, I just don't teach it. They have science for half the year from a cluster teacher who pushes into my room, then they have social studies for the other half from another cluster teacher. My day is taken up with the prescribed literacy and math programs given to me by my district.And yanno, I'd be glad to focus some of my literacy lessons on a social studies curriculum, but guess what? We're not given a social studies curriculum. We're just supposed to make it up. As I said, Ah, Academia!
