apples
By KT

Clip to ScrapBook
Most libraries have many, many fiction and nonfiction books relating to apples. I would gather several dozen and put them in baskets for them to look at/read when they have extra time. I do this for most every subject we are studying. I find that those who finish early are often the ones who have the most interest in books and reading. If they need something to DO you could have them do a follow-up drawing from the book or fill out a simple beginning, middle, end report, or give them time later to tell something from their book.
