Clip to ScrapBook
in my classroom, students' desk have one of 5 different colors. students are grouped into fives with one of each color in the group. groups are rotated every monday morning, with every color represented in the new groups. during the week, the group is a cooperative team that earns points by having everyone in the group hand in assignments on time, show character ed. traits such as responsibility, cooperation, respect, etc. the frequent changing of the groups and constant reminding to use cooperative strategies to achieve a shared goal seems to help develop skills in working with everyone in the class.
