monkeys
By Kim

Clip to ScrapBook
How about making a mat with a bed on it and letting them make groups of monkeys to show numbers? Let them make a pattern for the bedspread. I use the tape with the books at my listening center. Role play the story and name the monkeys. Use interactive writing to make name cards for the children playing the monkey parts. Make a name card for the mother and make extra ones that say audience for the children watching the show. Write a class version of a different animal jumping on another piece of furniture and the children can do the illustrations.
