Guided reading lesson By Shirley
|
| Oral language is so important, you could have a child from each group pair with another to do a story retell (share your story with a friend from the other group, take turns to you each get to hear about each other's book) they could use their books as a prop, and turn the pages as they retell what happened on that page. Or, a follow-up writing activity related to the story, such as write/draw what happened on your favorite page of your book (then partner up and share as they complete?) Just some random thoughts...good luck on your observation!
