ONLY 28??

I began student teaching this semester and I am 35 with two children (6-11). I feel that my maturity is a big plus in this field. I don't know if I would have stayed in this field had I began teaching when I "should have" graduated from college. (as a 20 year old). I went to college, dropped out in a defiant move, got married, moved to Europe, had two children,...then.... went back to college. The biggest problem for me is giving my children the time they need as prepare lesson plans and other activities for my student teaching experience.
