library class

Clip to ScrapBook
You could get your class to research a particular topic. This could be done over a number of weeks. Children could provide an oral presentation on what they have researched. They could also present a simple written project. This of course will depend on what grade you are teaching, and how long your library sessions are.

Alternatively you could read a chapter or two from a newly released children's book (depending on how well resourced your library is). You may choose to ask comprehension questions pertaining to the book.

I hope these ideas will be of some use to you.
