rootbeer floats
By Chris

Clip to ScrapBook
We actually just finished the unit. We made rootbeer floats as a reward for finishing the unit. The floats have all three main states of matter so it was fun for them to see all of them at once.

You may also want to do experiments where you change one form of matter into another. For example to the Ziploc challenge where the kids race to melt their ice cubes. Then do an experiment on insulators to keep the ice cubes from melting. Of course, then you can add liquid to gas, gas to liquid, and liquid to gas. Hope that helps!
