The day of

On the day of Halloween I try to do activities in all my subjects that pertain to Halloween fun on some level. (I just don't tell them they are working) We do a creative writing activity(could be an acrostic poem or a magic brew), a journal entry about what they will dress up as that night, math activities that have a Halloween theme and so on. I keep telling tham that they are special Halloween activities, but it is really regular work with a little twist. Then you can leave the actual party games and snacks for the end of the day.
