Clarification

Clip to ScrapBook
Depending on the objects that they are measuring, they have the option of using either yard sticks or working in groups using their rulers. If they were measuring a sign on the wall, for example, they would use a ruler. The objects painted on the ground would require, obviously, a larger measurement tool. This is where they can choose which tool they would like to use. The kids who use rulers would work together to measure the larger perimeters (multiplication also plays a role in these activities!!)

Sorry about the vagueness of the earlier post!!
