I loved this program when I was teaching third grade. I used the following book as a reference. Daniels, Harvey. Literature Circles: Voices and Choice in the Student-Centered Classroom. Stenhouse Publishers, 1994. I hope it is helpful. If you need any thing else in regards to this topic, don't hesitate to contact me and I'll try to help you out the best way that I can. I, too, am working on my Masters and my "project" this semester is the Accelerated Reader program. If you use that program in your school, I'd love to hear your thoughts about it.
