Clip to ScrapBook
I am modeling with students using a "student of the day." I choose a student and the class gets to interview him/her. Then we turn the list into a paragraph. I "think aloud" as we write to show them different strategies. (i.e. We have this word in our room somewhere./What goes at the end of this sentence?/Why should we capitalize this word?/Spacing, etc.) I explain to the students that soon they will be using a list to make a paragraph. We don't get to one every day. I usually only have time to do a couple during the week. I hope this helps.
