ESL
By mjh

Clip to ScrapBook
I teach kindergarten and have 2 students who receive ESL. They go twice a week for half and hour. I have noticed some difference already in one of the students but his Dad speaks English which is helpful. I have talked to his Dad and requested that he speak to the child at home more in English and I believe that Dad is doing so.

I know that once our ESL students reach the proficient level on an ESL test that is given they are then released from the program. I have one hispanic student who scored proficient on his first testing so he doesn't receive services.
