Parent/ Teacher Conference By NP

I would definitely go to the conference with an open mind. Hopefully, the teacher is calling you in to brainstorm solutions to this problem. In the meantime, ask your child if there is a student sitting near him who is bothering him, or if there is anything else that might be taking his attention away from his work. The more information you can bring to this conference the better. Teachers usually ask parents to help with problems in the classroom because they know that the parents know that child better than anyone. Sometimes, having a discussion with the parent can help teachers choose the best strategy for dealing with the problem.
