You may want to contact your PTA president and ask the PTA to hold a Book Fair. Companies like Scholastic have many attrative offers. Many times they will donate books to the school once a book fair is scheduled and if the representative is really nice, they sometimes have a few boxes of books that they would be willing to donate to the school. If you don't have a PTA established yet maybe a few of the teachers would be willing to host a book fair. Our school has hosted a Saturday warehouse book fair which was open to the public and we received many free books of our choice. Good luck.
