In our health curriculum we teach a unit about personal growth and development (puberty) in grade 5. We got a wonderful kit of free materials from the ALways (pads people) website, including a video and workbooks for the kids. I can't use the workbook and the whole video with my combined class, but there is a great segment on hygene and the need for deodorant (even comparing antiperspirant to deodorant). There is also info about acne in this general section. I do show that to my 4 and 5 kids, and I photocopy the corresponding pages of the workbook for the class to work through together. It is free and generates great discussion!
