    I agree with everyone here. Parnets can make our jobs so much more challenging. One thing that I have done that curbs problems is have the STUDENT call their parent (with you right there of course) and they have to tell mom or dad why they are in trouble. After they are done, then get on the line and talk to the parent. Try to come up with a coolaborative punishment. This seems to take the starch out of everyones shorts. The kids really have to take ownership for their behavior. Kids rarely will get to this point a second time.
