Johnny Appleseed day By Laura

We start the morning off by cutting apples (using plastic knives of course). All of the apples go into my crock pot and by the end of the day we have applesauce to share!

We also practic patterns using apples and paint. I cut a bunch of apples in half and put out some red, green and yellow paint. The children dip the apple half in the paint like a giant stamp and create a color pattern to display.

Since we're also discussing trees, I allow the children to plant some apple seeds.
