Your activity sounds great. We did something similar. I am an inclusion teacher with some of my students beng autistic. We read to the students a book about how we are all different and how we are all the same. We than had the students find students find pictures of people that are different than them and post it in pages on a book we made. The first pages said This person is different than me because... Students would put things like because they have blue eyes. On the last people it said that we are all the same because we are people. The sudents paste pictures of different people and drew themselves into the picture. they came out really nice.
