The room I student taught in, had a stool that a lot of the times the teacher or I would sit in if we were correcting something, reading a story, etc. Well when I finished student teaching the class had a stool for me that was signed on the bottom by everyone in the class. It is really nice and I use it in my classroom now! It also works great to set things on, like if you are teaching at the board and you have the answer book with you, you can set the answer book on the stool and put it in front of you and then you can look at the book easily if you are looking for an example problem, etc.
