Astronomy is tough because there doesn't seem to be as many hands on activities. I teach 6th grade and one thing my students enjoyed was creating astrolabs. In the Bill Nye, "Outer Space" episode, a kid makes one. All you need is straws, tagboard, protractor, string, and a weight. The astrolab is an ancient tool and measures angles of objects from the ground. First day, we watch the video and then make the astrolabs. Next day, we went outside and measured stuff. Easy to integrate math and social studies.

ALso, demos of things like eclispses, moon phases etc. with a globe, flashlight and balls is good.

There are a lot of great art opportunities to diagram the sun, moon, planets, stars etc. Pastels are especially fun to work with when coloring planets.
