stories I read
By maryellen

Clip to ScrapBook
I bought a good display at a teachers store. It looks like wooden shelves with all kinds of books piled in the shelves. I think it was called "Reading to 100 Books". Anyway, I laminated it, (so I can use it again) and we record the story-time book on the back of the books in the shelves. It makes kind of a good theme/seasonal timeline too, when you look at the list of books, you can see what we were doing at that time, colors, shapes, apple, counting, fall, Halloween...etc. There is enough space to number the books too, as we're going to 100 of course. I keep reminding them that 100 books at school (well okay, sometimes I read 2 or 3 books) and 100 books at home will make them really good readers by Day 100.
