Getting the hell out of teaching!
By Marcy

Clip to ScrapBook
You could not have said it any better! By the way, are you teaching in Texas? I just want to add that Texas Education Codes are constantly abused in my district. For instance, we are not receiving the state mandated planning
hours. Our conference time is ONLY supposed to be used for planning and conferencing with parents, not because administrators want to share something with you. Conference periods are freely abused but the teachers are so complacent in this district that no one complains! If you as an individual complain, you are labeled a trouble maker. Also the insurance is unaffordable. Wait, there's
more! You get royally jerked when you retire and try to collect social security retirement benefits based on your work history with previous employers or from a retired or deceased spouse's social security account. I am getting the hell out a.s.a.p.
