no union? One thing my art teacher does for me is to have my own little art group, our regular ed teachers get art 1 hour per week but 1 hour is too long for my kiddos so my art teacher does 2 1/2 hour blocks on Wed and Thurs for me. Possibly your music teacher could also do the same? I also mainstream my kiddo's for the first 1/2 hour of the day. Usually the regular ed classrooms are doing calendar and other activities that my kids can be successful in doing... lastly go to your special ed director/supervisor and ask for help or an additional aid to cover your class so you can plan
