    By never been there

I've never been in that situation, so I don't know how anyone who's been in your shoes will react to my suggestion. Perhaps you could/should let the parents know first, such as at a parent's night or similar program before telling the students the next day. I wouldn't bother telling them until later on, when you "start to show", as the months may seem to drag on forever for the children with their excited anticipation. Take your lead from your class. Some classes may get all excited and "involved" in the whole pregnancy thing, making suggestions for names, decorating the nursery, etc. while other classes may be more low-keyed about the whole thing. In other words, don't force the issue if they're not "into" it and don't deny their participation if they get all caught up in the excitement! They may feel like this is "their baby", too!
