Congratulations on your (almost) new job! You are smart to be thinking ahead. It is a good idea to keep your eye out for books. You will want to have a good selection for your class library. Used book stores and garage sales are great resources. You might also want to watch for sales on basic school supplies. Things like pencils, folders, crayons, and glue are always needed and it helps to have extras on hand. If you have storage space, I would keep coffe cans, butter tubs,newspapers and other household items that can be recycled. You never know when you will find a need for items such as these. Finally, start keeping files of neat ideas that you find on the Internet. Back to school, holidays, bulletin boards, game ideas are a few I have. They will be helpful when you start making plans for next year. Good luck!
