I also have worked with a gt student who has asbergers. He really enjoyed music so I developed a plan that would encourage his interest. When he would become upset, he had a CD player loaded with music that he liked that
would calm him down. I also had access to a keyboard that was connected to a computer where he could learn to play the keyboard through a program. This was expensive to set up but there are grants available and agencies that are willing to help. One last suggestion. Don't try to do this alone. In developing an education plan, I used a committee approach. I got feedback and used the

expertise of every resource person in the building. This took pressure off of my when I got into a situation that I didn't know what to do. Sorry that this is so long but I hope it helps.
