I'm in north Louisiana, and on two district sub lists. Our city school district pays $40 per day for anyone with GED or HS diploma, (must be at least 18 years old), $45 per day with two years or more of college, or $50 per
day if certified teacher. If the sub works 20 consecutive days in the same classroom, the pay jumps to $100 per day thereafter, but i'm not sure whether that applies to all subs or just the certified ones.
Our parish school district is the same, except for long term assignments. If a sub is in the same classroom for 10 consecutive days, the pay is then $100 per day, retroactive

to the first day.

I have not been able to find a permanent teaching position this year, and someone in this thread is tempting me ro move to Canada if something doesn't open up soon!
