30 minutes isn't much time! I would work on a program of drawing and cartooning. The step-by-step drawing books are great for kids, especially when an adult leads the way with the examples. Animals, insects, cartoon faces
are good places to start. If you don't want to purchase or find the books right away there are examples to be found on the internet. When the kids are handy with a few faces, animal bodies etc.. you could make flip books, work on shading, use pencil crayon, put together a mural etc.. The drawing books you can borrow or purchase cover all topics. I would steer clear of a lot of messy
set-up, storage and clean-up type art. If you have to do sculptures there are amazing shapes you can make with pipe cleaners that only require scissors. See the fall Martha Stewart for kids for examples or search pipe cleaner crafts/art/ or sculpture. Have fun!
