Well that is a loaded question. I am a die hard private school teacher. I have taught public before but generally prefer the private school setting. There is not as much paperwork or criteria that need to be met. Not to say private is easier just different. I think that a lot has to do with your administration. I have worked with principals at both ends of the spectrum and then in the middle. All have their good and bad points, it just depends on where you think you'll fit. I have never worked for one who didn't support his staff so I really don't know what to say. Pay wise you will make more in public but I really(except for this week) prefer the smaller setting in the private schools I've been in.GOOD LUCK with your decision and remember after a year you can always change if it's not the place for you.
