PG ratings

Clip to ScrapBook
We are also not allowed to show PG rated movies at school unless we get parental permission which can be a hassle. In Australia the movie is only just being released in the cinemas October, 30th so I know I am lucky as we
have already read the book earlier in the year. -(we've actually been awaiting what seems like forever for the movie).
I can see having a similar problem next year although "Holes" isn't as well known here as it is in the States, which is lucky in a lot of ways I guess. I agree though, it is a fantastic book, one which my class couldn't get enough of - some even
bought the book themselves.
I did have the problem then of students reading ahead using the class copies or their own. They were sworn to secrecy about upcoming events as we read as a class. Fortunately for me, they did keep mum!
