Open Court By Lindsay Reilly

| I completely understand your frustration, but don't overwhelm yourself. You can still do the 'fun' stuff that you used to do and enjoy doing- you just need to figure out the things that work for you! I have been using Open Court for five years now and the first year was the absolute worst. I didn't realize that the TE's are more of a suggestion rather than a MUST DO or you are dead. You just need to take on one section at a time and do that section really well, ie the blue section or the red section, then build on it from there. I think it's a misunderstanding that you have to read each and every last word in the TE as you are teaching. Just try to teach the concept the best way you can, it might not be their way, but as long as you get the kids learning, who cares what path you take to get there... right? Good luck!
