Planning
By Sue W.

Clip to ScrapBook
The manuals are there as a guide, when you are in new territory a guide is good idea. As you go along you will find what works for you and for your class, there can be a big difference from year to year. Many of the ideas
you will find are tried and true, some are realistic and a few aren't, in a given situation. Many manuals have way more than time will allow you to use, so you are going to have the chance to pick and choose. As you get used to teaching you will want to make changes that fit you and your situation more and will have more background to do so.

Innovative planning definitely can be more

fun as a teacher but if you plan on having any kind of a life of your own you can't spend 18 hours a day on teaching! And being innovative takes a lot of effort and an awareness that comes with experience.

Best wishes for a great year!
