I went through this last year (my baby is now 8 months- time flies so fast!). I teach special education grades k-1 and I waited to tell my kids until I was showing. I told them that I was going to have a baby and that the baby would need me to stay home to take care of it for the rest of the school year- and that I would be back to visit and would see them again next school year.
As for a sub- I found a sub I could trust and who knew and got along with my kids and asked her to sub for me while I was out. She subbed for me when I had meetings or trainings before I had the baby so she could get used to | |
the class, and she came in a few times to observe and help out.Good luck and congratulations!!!1Enjoy our baby and savor every min you spend with him/her, because they grow up sooooo fast!
