Vanish etc.
By Jennifer K

Clip to ScrapBook
Take a wet sponge paint brush (damp, not soaking wet) and write the word on the chalkboard. Have the students write the word as many times as they can (using their best handwriting!) before the word dries and disappears.
My kids were bored at first, but then I began to see who wrote the word the most times and they had a blast.

My coop. teacher has screenboards. It's just some wire screen duct taped on cardboard. They practice their handwriting by putting a piece of paper over it and writing with a crayon.

She also has this checksheet where they write the word, then say the word, then say the letters,

then write the word etc. They follow what the sheet says and are supposed to check off the things as they go through them. It's on an individual level, so it works for some, but not others.

Magnetic letters are fun. Writing on those white flip boards that have the sheet of plastic over the them... does that make any sense whatsoever?
