"Classical" music By Sari

Have you tried some of the more modern composers? True "Classical" music, such as Mozart and Haydn, is a pretty limited genre. The unusual chord structures and rhythms of some early 20th-century music might be more your| style. Try Bela Bartok, Ives (sorry, can't remember the first name), and even Aaron Copland. There is some research that certain music has a positive effect on learning because the time signature tends to match the resonation of brain waves or something. The music most likely to have this effect is Baroque music, which includes Bach, Vivaldi, and Albinoni. Many people equate "classical" | | music with Mozart, who is indeed from the Classical era. However, his music tends to be formulaic. And I do not intend this as a criticism; I love Mozart. But there is so much more out there. One thing to be careful about: If you have any musicians in your class, music can be a distraction. I tend to focus on the music rather than concentrate on my work and did so even when I was young.
