Clip to ScrapBook
I'm really concerned that you said that you had all the kids with IEP's and no help from the Special Ed staff. I think your number one priority in the classroom right now should be to read each student's IEP. If they are
supposed to be receiving in class help or being pulled out for help it has to state it there. It is a legal requirement to follow each child's IEP, so make sure that each child is receiving the services that they're entitled to.
I'm sorry that you have been placed in this terrible situation. My advice about the contract is document everything. Write down every request you make for help.
Save every email. Also, carefully read your contract and give the appropriate notice. This will make you look much more professional when looking for other jobs. If you're lucky, they might even let you out of your contract early. I hope this helps. Don't give up on teaching though not all schools are as bad as the one you are at now and our kids need good teachers like you.
