A really easy cheaters chicken soup involves several cans of chicken flavored soup broth (College Inn, Swanson, etc.) and lots & lots of vegetables! I'll chop up carrots, onions and celery, then saute them slightly in butter or margarine to soften them up a bit, then pour in the broth. Heat and serve! Takes only minutes if you prep the veggies beforehand! If you really load up on the veggies, you don't really need noodles! You could precook the noodles and have them available. The hot soup should warm them up nicely.
Have you thought of using a crock pot? When we had a soup lunch I brought a pumpkin and squash soup my son made up in my crock pot. I plugged it in in the morning and it was good for go by lunch time and each lunch period had hot soup!
Before anyone asks, no I can't share the recipe because I don't have it. As a culinary student and aspiring chef/restaurateur, he is reluctant to share his recipes. And to be honest, some haven't been worth sharing
