teacher store books
By Chicago Teacher

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi, I made file folder activities using pages from those "What should I do now that I'm done?" type books at the teacher store. I just made 10 copies of the ones I liked, put them in the folder, labeled the folder, and store
them in a crate. They know that if they take the last one, they are supposed to tell me so I can copy more. The kids each have a folder where they put the ones they finish or are working on, and then once a month I'm going to have them choose 3 (I think, haven't totally decided yet) that will be "graded" from out of their folder. I also made some of the centers from the "Take It to
Your Seat" centers books, but they took more time to make and I'm paranoid about losing the pieces, etc. Another good idea, which isn't a file folder, are to get those math and other types of "holy" cards where they put their paper underneath and write the answers to the questions (basic operations) and can check their answers on the back. I think those cost around 50 cents a piece or so.
