Library - I use my book order points to get free books and let the kids choose one when they land on it. (The first week, 6 kids landed on it. Glad I had enough books!)
Game Spot - We play a game at the end of the day
and the student leads it (7-Up)
On the bus - Like the jail space - they try 3 times to roll doubles to get out. Then they get on the Just visiting after the 3rd time.
Mystery Prize - A can of pop or a cool pencil.
Streets - Nothing. It makes them look forward to landing on the other spots even more.
My class has really gotten into it this year. They look forward to it. We even
add Bonus Rounds - which is an additional game in the week. I have my kids tally about 3 - 6 assignments that are turned in to see if they play. It's totally random because they never know what I am using. I use the Ellison to cut out shapes (fish, planes, horses, shoes, sailboats) as game pieces.
This is my first year doing it and I plan on continuing to use it.
