I totally support this and wish it was done in my school. I know it's a hassle, but one can never be to sure about the safety of children. Both of my children have had near misses with sexual deviants and I wish there was more the system could do. My daughter was very young at the time (1st grade) and it was a person in the neighborhood next to ours. Luckily she was pulled to safety before it got ugly and she became aware of anything wrong. My son had a FABULOUS science teacher, who was also a friend and had taken my son many places outside of the school environment. The teacher said a very crude sexually explicit comment to another student. He did resign and we later found out that was why he left his previous job too. Unfortunately in both cases it was settled out of court so there is no record and this guy and get a job in any school that doesn't know his history. Fingerprinting doesn't help everything, but I feel the more we can do the better we are and so are the children. Precious lives need to be protected from the deviants of society.
