misinforming
By mi vida loca

Clip to ScrapBook
I went through the same thing. I signed up through a job fair as well. Everything was explained to me verbally, as well as in writing. The instructor who spoke with me stated that my first 90 days I would not get pd holiday
pay, insurance, etc... That was ok, since in the first 90 days there was 2 holidays, and only missed out on 2 days pay.

When I got there, they told me differently..... the same as you. I raised cane about it to everyone that I could. I was told "Sorry, you was misinformed.... this is the way it's done, too bad."

I was so mad, that I went to the next school board meeting, and

was nice about explaining my situation to them. The person who "misinformed" me was there, and he denied everything, until I brought out the "pre-contract" paper that we BOTH signed stating my pay, insurance, etc....

Needless to say, I got my pay, and now I am the assigned Rep. for my school to go to job fairs. I make sure that I keep myself updated, and aware of changes that may effect someone else.

I wish you luck in resolving this problem.
