Clip to ScrapBook
Hi! My class is really busy too! (Aren't they all?) We do centers in the afternoon (kids 'play' with math manupulatives, they learn (sets, counting etc) but they think they are playing. I usually do theme based projects
as well, some I do are:

apple people (large const. apple, w/ arms/legs)
pumpkin people
Letter people
caterpillars with numbers, letters, whatever (each circle has a number on it, they put them in order and glue them down.)

color pictures (the only time it's silent in my room!!(

painting

free art...have lots of different leftovers available, and let them create.

I also

have a book making center, where the use alphabet stamps, stencils etc to create letters etc.

I also make class books..we read a pattern book and create our own small class book based on that (I make enough different ones that the kids each get a book to take home at the end of the year)

We make big books and donate them to the local dr. offices (the kids LOVE seeing their story in when they go to the dr.!)

Thats all I can think of right now!

Michele
