Thank you for your quick responses. The other teacher is one year from retiring and honestly doesn't give a #$&. They don't do homework for him either. He's also extremely negative to them. I have this class at the end
of the day and I think they just don't care at that point because all they've gotten all day is negativity. It's also right after our recess. Yes, they are young but they have this tough "too cool for school" attitude. One student said my class is boring. I'm trying to explain to them that we can't do "fun" group activities if they are out of control AND don't even do the littlest

of work. They won't even give me a chance. I sound like a whiner, but I'm so frustrated because I'm not being able to teach the way I want. I do "fun" things for my own class, but they cooperate. I will try starting over tomorrow. It will get this class even more behind but at this point it's only October.... if I can only get them on track or at least willing to give me a chance. AHHHHHHH!
