Flat Stanley By Brittany

I am a 16 year old student in 11th grade. I am researching the career I am interested in, 2nd grade teaching, and I stumbled upon this website. I just read your post about Flat Stanley, and I just wanted to say, I think| you should do something with that. When I was in second grade, my class spent a little bit of time on that book. My teacher read it to us, and we did some activities with it. One in particular that I will never forget is, she had us cut out a Flat Stanley, color it, and then send it in the mail to an older family member, such as an aunt, uncle, grandparent, cousin, etc. We included | | a letter asking them to write a story about our Flat Stanley and send it back to us in the mail. We took them back into school when we got them back and shared our stories. I still have my Flat Stanley story to this day, 9 years later. I just wanted to let you know that, and give you that idea, so maybe you could do something like that with your students. It'll be something some of them will remember for the rest of their lives.
