Maybe...
By Jennifer

Clip to ScrapBook
Maybe it is because you haven't flooded the market with yourself yet. When I graduated the best piece of advice I got was to flood the ,arket with my reume. Even if it was not in my town or xactly what I wanted to aplly.
I did just that,m I sent out 98 applications all over my state. Luckily I got hired right away. When I moved it was a different story. I sent out at least 60 resumes and got responses from 3. Interviewed for two and 5 months after the process began. And at this point I had experience. I was told that for some positions the are 300 apllicants. Don't get discouraged, any school I
am sure would be lucky to have you and it will come up. I know that you may have a family and home but think about places you wouldn't have considered. I never would have dreamed about teaching what or where I am now but I am. It has been a great experience, (hard work) and I am now more marketable should I decide to leave. Best of luck to you and don't give up. If you have been dedicated to looking this long then you will be a dedicated teacher as well.
