unmotivated gifted students
By Laura

Clip to ScrapBook
I myself am a gifted student in my class. Last year in the 6th grade, I had a class full of 11 children. My mom was really concerned about me because I needed to be challenged, and the teachers were giving us the same exact
work from the 5th grade. Except in Social Studies, Science, and ofcourse, Spanish. I was really bored and unmotivated like the two students you have. I felt as if the world didn't want to teach me anything. What you have got to do is challenge the boys like another person posting on this said. Challenge them in any way you can. If they really need to be challenged, give them work 1 grade
level up (I had 7th grade math last year ). If they do the work, give them something really rewarding like another person said in this topic. If you haven't done this already, have a "Fun Friday" for the kids who have done their work and have behaved well. Let them watch a good (but appropriate) movie. Give them sweets and soda. Let them play on the computers. All of this should only be done on "Fun Friday."
