My school
By Cathy-Dee

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi Lynne,

I haven't had time to check the boards for awhile so I guess it's a good thing I did tonight.

Well it's been an interesting couple of weeks, the damage was pretty extensive in one part of the school (thankfully
not the classrooms except for the ECS room).

But we got most things put back together and we opened on time. Our secretary and librarians are working on tables instead of desks but at least we have phones now!

Our gym was the most damaged and we won't have it ready for at least a couple of months from the sounds of it. We are hoping by mid November the new floor will be in.

But

it's also been a good thing in some ways. We've had a lot of support through the community and the school division. And it's definitely been a team-building activity for all the staff. We have a great Principal who allowed us to focus on our classrooms and our own items and he brought in the help needed for the rest of the work. And our secretary, librarian, liason and custodial staff were awesome! They were at the school some nights up to midnight washing walls and putting together the office and library so that our hallways would be clear and ready for the kids.
