Being snubbed By Jade

I agree that you need to contact that principal again, but this time personally. You can't be sure that she really is ignoring you. With the volume of emails that I get it is sometimes easy to overlook one, and the volume| that adminisrators get must be greater. I have literally discovered emails that I never realized I had days later. Also, with technological glitches, she may never have received it. As far as the letter of recommendation, she may have forgotten or was waiting for you to contact her. Don't give up. I subbed for nearly five years after I graduated from college. The job market was | | much like it is now and no one was hiring. Schools were receiving up to 100 applications per opening. It is true that they may be looking for a specific characteristic. I got an interview once just because my resume mentioned some experience in music and they were looking for a classroom teacher who could direct a choir!I became an indispensable sub and worked wherever and whenever they called, and as a result was hired into a great system working for and with dedicated professionals, and eventually got my dream job, teaching third grade. It was painful waiting and feeling sure I'd never work as a teacher, but I did and do! It can and does happen!!
