Clip to ScrapBook
I have four like that this year. It is much harder on them when they don't have a clue what the alphabet is about and most of what we are teaching must seem like a foreign language to them.

- Is it possible that he attends
the ECS class for perhaps 30 minutes each day during their alphabet time for that extra practice. It's often a great solution because he gets the practice he needs but is still in your class for other work.

- Have a parent-volunteer come in on a daily basis and do things with him.

- Have an older student or two come in during one recess to play alphabet games with him.

- I just

got a small leap-frog desk that is all about the letters. It seems really good. It does letter names, sounds as well as printing. I ordered it through an educational catalogue. I think it was Wintergreen Educational Supplies. Perhaps if you could find something along this line that your school would purchase he could spend 10-15 minutes a day using it.

- Computer programs as well can be useful if you get a few that deal with the letters.

That's all I could think of tonight. If I think of anything else I'll add it later. Hope this helps
